Good Morning Baby Robin!
What would you do if you woke up to find a baby robin sitting on your fence?
Would you take the time to listen to it’s sweet early morning bird song? Would you chase away the neighborhood cats as it stretches it’s quivering wings? Would you dig through your garden to unearth a few worms to help out the momma bird? Would you ponder what it would be like to see the world through the eyes of a baby robin as it builds up the courage to learn how to fly? I am not sure what you would do, but I have done all of the above this morning. I guess you could say that I am absolutely fascinated with the baby birds that have recently emerged from their nestsĀ and have chosen my little corner of the world to spread their tiny wings for the first time…
As I sat quietly on my patio this morning and watched them, I simply could not help but wonder how they may feel gazing off into the wild blue yonder contemplating what it may hold for them…
Do they already know by instinct that no matter how high they fly, that they will never be able to reach the sun?
Are they aware of how cute they look with their fuzzy little baby feathers sticking out of their heads?
Do they know how hard their momma worked to feather her nest?
But, most of all, do they know that eating worms is yucky?
